ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Melea Thomson and Leslie Arch are Mosaic Masters with studios in Central Florida. They create a variety of mosaic art using vitreous glass. Their large mirrors, accent pieces, tables, and fine art are all originals thus can be tailored to fit any decor. Borders, backsplashes and decorative insets will reinvent the bathroom and kitchen.

By using the same methods and tools used thousands of years ago their mosaics look very "Old World." Each mosaic begins with a design concept, is sketched onto paper and then carefully hand cut and constructed piece by piece. All mosaics are mounted directly to the surface of the final product, never mesh mounted. This provides the best adhesion for a permanent bond between the mosaic and the surface. You will never see a seam line, which commonly occurs with mesh mounted mosaics and computer generated designs that are mass produced.

Melea holds a bachelor's degree in Business Marketing along with postgraduate classes in fine art. Leslie holds a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design with postgraduate classes in fine art as well. Together they have over 30 years of experience in a variety of art disciplines.

Melea and Leslie work directly with designers, builders, and homeowners to guarantee a quality mosaic that will be a personal addition to the environment. They welcome the challenge to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary!
